‘NGO Registration and Future’ Workshop conducted by PEF at Limb Village

            Today dated 17th march, 2017 Planet Earth Foundation,Shirla took workshop on ‘NGO Registration and Future’ for the youth girls in limb village. Limb village is situated near Tasgoan in Sangli district. This area is mostly famous for production of grapes. The population of limb village is nearby 1200. Tilak Maharashtra vidyappeth, pune (Sangli campus) conducted the Participatory Rural appraisal (Rural camp) in previous month to make action plan after need identification of village. They find some problems through PRA. In that the priorities are alcoholism, Problems of farmers, women’s SHG, Livelihood Etc. To sort out the problems the young girls from this village want to make organization and through this they want to do some activities for the village through developmental approach to sustain their village.
            According to this we arrange the workshop with the help of my friends Swapnil Hingmire, Satyjit Nikam and Vishal Nalawade. In this workshop the following topics are discussed,



What is NGO ?
  • A non govwebmental Organization (NGO) is any non-profit, voluntry citizen’s group which is legally constituted, and work on a local, natioanl or international level.
  • The number of NGOs worldwide is estimated to be 3.7 million.
  • Russia has 2,77,000 NGOs.
  • China is estimated to have approximately 440,000 officially registered NGOs.
  • India is estimated to have had around 2 million NGOs in 2009.
